What is Global Assistance & Healthcare?Global Assistance & Healthcare® was established in 1993 in response to the need of assistance services from travellers, local nationals and expatriates living in Indonesia.
Global Assistance & Healthcare® actively provides ASSISTANCE SERVICES via an Alarm Centre in Jakarta operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Global Assistance & Healthcare has wide experiences in providing medical evacuation in the need of transporting a patient by any mode of transport such as ground ambulance, ferry, helicopter, commercial carrier, and a private jet. Our medical team are well trained in this specialty and supported with complete portable medical equipment.
Global Assistance & Healthcare® experience in handling mass-evacuation like after the Bali Bombing or the people riot in 1998 when we organized the evacuation of more than 2700 people from 6 different locations in Indonesia.

What is Medical Evacuation?Medical evacuation is to transfer an ill or injured person from current hospital with poor medical facilities to a place with more adequate. A complete medical team (doctor and nurse) includes proper medical equipment will be fully responsible to the Patient’s condition.
Our medical team will always work very closely with our in house medical personnel and have a in-depth knowledge of the logistics involved in any assistance cases.
Global Assistance & Healthcare® will provide a package bed to bed service which our assistance is starting from present location to the hospital destination.
Since the beginning of the opening, we have operated thousands of evacuation and repatriation all over the word. However our main activity of medical evacuation is from Indonesia to Singapore and Australia.
In Singapore, we also assist patient and family for their admission or their discharge from hospital, translation services, limousines services, travel arrangements, visa arrangements and many others services to make the life of your patients and relatives easy and without stress.
Who can use our Assistance Services?Calls that we receive every day in our Alarm Centre for medical evacuation are coming from worldwide Assistance Companies who use our services in the region, from International and National clients who have a membership contract with Global Assistance & Healthcare.
We also received many calls from private families who need our help for moving a member of their families abroad or to another hospital in Indonesia.
Local requests come mainly from Bali, Jakarta, Semarang, Bandung, Medan, Solo and Yogyakarta where we have to send an air ambulance or arrange a stretcher in commercial flights with our medical team and medical equipment for evacuating an ill or injured person.
Who is Our Medical Team?Global Assistance has a dedicated 2 foreigner experienced doctors acting as Medical directors, specialized in their own field (Medical Assistance and General Medical Services), 21 Indonesian doctors, 12 Indonesian Paramedics and a group of Flying Medical Escorts Personnel (specialized doctors, general practitioners ICU nurses), whose responsibilities span from managing complex Emergency Medical Evacuations & Repatriations, Medical Advice, 2nd Opinion to Claims Investigation.
Our doctors are required to spend time with our customer service division, answering telephones and responding to general enquiries, in order they stay “in-touch” with the issues facing our customers, and “in-touch” with the layman. It gives them an edge when talking to our Clients about various issues.
Our doctors have also worked privately – meaning they have an excellent background and reputation with the physicians and directors of the Global Assistance Provider Network.
Who is Our Operations Staff?In Indonesia, Global Assistance offers a team of professional Operations Staff who have an average of 4 years work history with the company. Within this department, we can serve our Members in 8 different languages (Bahasa Indonesia, English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Japanese, Rumanian and Mandarin).
Our Operations Staff have responsibility for taking telephone calls from a simple case like medical referral to the most complex emergency medical evacuations from most remote area in Indonesia.
What are our Case Management Services?For each case, we open a case file – no matter how simple it will be – the file will be kept under our malpractice insurance regulation for 10 years. This case file is designed to gather each step of actions that we take to handle this file.
Our Medical Personnel and Operations Staff regularly reviews opened cases, monitor the development of cases, and update the Patient’s family. Our focus is always a balance between medical care – administration - and customer services.
